Recycle Cardboard Tubes into Loom Rubber Bands Organizer

The loom bands-making phenomenon has already invaded the Philippines and it has been causing a massive hoarding purchasing of tiny rubber bands being used for loom band projects/creations. With lots and lots of colorful rubber bands, from solid colors in different hues to rainbow-like or two-toned combinations, no wonder that my unused beads organizer container, which I lend to my daughter, is now full of loom rubber bands.

I have been looking for the same organizer/container from crafting shops to bookstores and department stores but I haven't found any yet. I was in the brink of giving up in organizing these tiny rubber bands until a light bulb moment when I remembered I have those toilet paper cardboard tubes stashed away waiting for another recycling project. Perfect! :-)

Cut to size cardboard tubes then glue one side to scraps of cardboard/paper.

After thoroughly dried, cut to size again to have cardboard containers.

I have decided to use my washi tapes to decorate my cardboard containers.

The circular cardboard containers fit well inside my stash of rectangular plastic containers. I'm so happy! :-)

And she's still asking me to buy more bands of other different colors. Yikes.
